Platform – Cloud Hosting & on Premise

Description

Adtelligence operates a highly available state-of-the-art private cloud infrastructure to offer your services with the highest possible availability. The infrastructure is available at several locations in the EU.

Content that requires fast delivery is provided by our CDN (Content Delivery Network). For this purpose, servers (edge nodes) are operated worldwide by our CDN partners.

Support requests

Adtelligence offers its customers a support level agreement (SLA) tailored to their needs. Depending on the desired support package, Adtelligence service employees are available to our customers up to 24 hours a day as contact persons in the event of faults. Requests are processed within the agreed support level.

For all other inquiries, our customers have a personal contact person at their disposal.

SaaS platform

Data availability

Our customers’ data is stored in a distributed storage network, which ensures that it is available even if individual components of the infrastructure should fail. Data is backed up to another backup medium several times a day. Data can be restored to any day in the last two weeks. Backup data is stored in encrypted form in at least two locations.

SaaS Support

Currently, the SaaS (Software as a Service) applications are operated in data centers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg and Falkenstein. The SaaS applications are monitored 24×7 (24 hours, 7 days a week) by the Adtelligence IT team and faults are rectified as quickly as possible.

Maintenance window

The Adtelligence Private Cloud is designed in such a way that maintenance work on the infrastructure does not generally cause any downtime. For activities that could lead to reduced availability of services, we schedule maintenance windows. These maintenance windows are coordinated with the customer and communicated accordingly in good time.

Description server setup

The Adtelligence platform can be set up in multiple environments. One environment can be operated for integration tests and another with production data. The platform is connected to our data center via a secure connection (VPN), which can be used to import updates or make adjustments.

All software components are distributed to a central master server via our data center, so that the latest version is available at all times and security-relevant patches can be rolled out. Updates can be automatically installed on the servers in a previously agreed maintenance window.

The installation is carried out on site by a technician from Adtelligence and the customer. After successful testing of access via the VPN, all further settings and updates can be made remotely.

Environments

Up to three environments can be set up. We recommend running at least one test environment and one production environment. Each environment consists of two servers:

  • Dashboard Server
  • Backend server

In addition, a master server is required on which all components run that are necessary for the operation of the environments. The master server is connected to our data center and receives updates for the server and the application from there. The server then controls which components are deployed to which environment. The administration of the software components is automated.

Integration options

The Adtelligence platform can be integrated into your own system landscape. Two options are available for this purpose:

Hardware appliance integration

Adtelligence delivers hardware appliances that can be integrated into your server environment.

Requirements hardware appliances

The hardware servers are supplied by us with installed software and can be delivered as a stand-alone unit or installed in a server cabinet.

You will need for the operation:

  • 2x Gigabit network interface. Redundant connection to the network
  • 2x 230V power connection. Redundant power supply for power supply
  • The hardware for rack mounting requires 2U per server
  • Optional: Own network for the connection between the servers

Integration into existing virtualization solution

  • Adtelligence delivers software appliances that are integrated into your virtualization
  • Appliances are available for OpenStack(KVM) and for VMWare

Requirements software appliances

The Virtual Servers can be delivered in KVM/Openstack or VMWare format. They can be imported into the existing virtualization solution and require each for operation:

  • 1x Virtual network interface
  • Virtual hard disk with at least 150GB (depending on the amount of data)
  • Virtual CPU resources with 8 cores
  • Virtual memory with at least 16GB

Monitoring

The servers are monitored by our central monitoring, for this it is necessary that the VPN connection is always active. It is possible that the servers are monitored by a customer’s own monitoring. If a monitoring agent is needed, it should be available as debian (DEB) package.

Backup & Restore

An integration of the servers into the customer’s own backup is strongly recommended. If an agent is required for this, it must be available as a debian (DEB) package.

Hardware Support

Adtelligence takes over the support of the delivered hardware appliances. Replacement of the hardware is ensured within the agreed SLA package. The exchange includes delivery and commissioning.

Software Support

The Adtelligence hardware is connected to our service center via a VPN (virtual private network). Software updates can be imported via this connection and the operation of the applications can be ensured. Our service center continuously checks the availability and status of the application and restores the runnability itself in the event of a problem.

Data availability

The data is stored in the databases running in the customer data center during operation. This data does not leave the customer data center. It must therefore be ensured that the data is backed up on the customer side.

Our IT team is available to answer questions regarding the integration of Adtelligence systems into the customer backup solution.

Expenses on the customer side

On-Premise

  • IT must provide network ports & IP addresses
  • Provide VPN connection (side-to-side connection)
  • Integration in monitoring (hardware monitoring – Adtelligence sets up its own monitoring for application)
  • Integration into customer’s backup environment
  • Provision of interfaces for data delivery (connection of Adtelligence system to interface is carried out by Adtelligence)
  • Delivery of interface documentation

Example of expenses that can be incurred on a customer-specific basis

  • Resources for processing risk assessments
  • Connection to security infrastructure
